The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is working with the South Florida Water Management District and other entities to restore the Florida Everglades. A newsletter detailing their progress can be found here (PDF, 850 KB).
A Street Renovation in Los Angeles
A group of government agencies and businesses teamed up to see what an environmentally-friendly suburban street would look like. It cost $2.7 million, but the results are very interesting.
